Wieke Aerts

Wieke Aerts was born in the Netherlands and has lived and worked in Antwerp for more than 2 decades. She trained as a goldsmith and silversmith at the
Vocational School Schoonhoven in the Netherlands. Eager to learn, Wieke continued her studies and graduated with a bachelors degree at the University of
the Arts - HKU, department of architectural design / 3D design in Utrecht, also in the Netherlands. Years later, Wieke became a Master of Arts at the Royal
Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, specializing in jewelry design, gold and silversmithing.

Over the years, her jewelry and objects have been presented in various exhibitions worldwide and she has worked for various metalworkers, designers, artists
and galleries. Wieke also enjoyed participating in a number of collaborative projects in various art disciplines.

Wieke Aerts has been teaching at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp for quite some time and has continued to work on her artistic projects.
