José Daniel Granados Carranza is a Honduran/Belgian filmmaker and photographer. He has a Master in Audiovisual Arts from the Royal Institute for Theatre, Cinema & Sound(RICTS) in Brussels.
His bachelor project “Yibril” a touching story about immigration and empathy that unfolds in the heart of Europe was selected for the 22nd International Short Film Festival Leuven 2016 (Belgium) where it won the VAF WILD CARD FICTION 2016. He has also made "LOS VEO" 2020, whoe has a ENSOR nomination for Best Short Film 2022. Now he is working in the post-production of his last short film, "The weight of sand" and on the development of the script for his first feature film "Zandvlinders".
He works mainly on fiction and documentary projects where he always focuses on the human side of the stories.
That is why he together with Vincent Groos, started Human Films, a production company focused to tell deep, important and personal stories.
