Joanna Madclone
Curious and driven, Joanna constantly explores the world, fusing materials, images and words into surprising and meaningful connections. Experimentation is her learning process, and this evolution never stops.

Her artistic journey began with collages, but embroidery art soon became her trademark. In this technique, she finds the perfect balance between precision and expression, giving each work a unique voice.

Her work mainly consists of embroidery on photos - sometimes her own, sometimes old (family) photos from flea shops, flea markets or forgotten basements. For several years now, she has also made installations, taking embroidery out of its familiar context and giving it new transparency in space.
Her experiments are not only visual; through open mics and poetry evenings in Antwerp, she also takes her audience into her world verbally.

With her creations, she invites the viewer to experience her world - a world full of wonder, emotion and reflection. Her works continue to resonate and are an invitation to rediscover again and again.
