𝔸𝕓𝕠𝕦𝕥 𝔸𝕣𝕔𝕙𝕚𝕡𝕖𝕝
_edited.jpg

𝔸𝕣𝕔𝕙𝕚𝕡𝕖𝕝 is an artist-run arts workplace, where residents can work on their own oeuvre in complete concentration. It is a unique, artistic collective workspace in urban development area, on the former Engie Site at Lobroekdok in Antwerp North. This extraordinary location and the transformation of the surrounding neighbourhood is an endless source of inspiration. The diversity of disciplines also provides constant mutual inspiration.

Besides the 50 or so permanent super-diverse residents, the ‘𝔸𝕣𝕔𝕙𝕚𝕡𝕖𝕝𝕝𝕖𝕣𝕤’ who create here from their various art disciplines, 𝔸𝕣𝕔𝕙𝕚𝕡𝕖𝕝 also welcomes guests. These individuals or organisations are given space to work on new projects. Archipel initiates and supports social and artistic interventions through exhibitions, performances and debates but equally through the organisation of workshops and festivals.

Besides being a studio, 𝔸𝕣𝕔𝕙𝕚𝕡𝕖𝕝 is a growth and meeting place, an inclusive learning space that builds bridges towards neighbourhood and city through participatory projects, and experiments with politically inclusive models of collaboration. 𝔸𝕣𝕔𝕙𝕚𝕡𝕖𝕝 aims to be the engine for arts and culture in the emerging neighbourhood and aims to settle there permanently.
