Rooftoptiger is an artists' collective that builds participatory and performative installations in public spaces. The installations are site-specific creations. By intervening in a context, they try to entice people to take action as the playful and critical designers of their own neighborhood. The installations are built from recycled and local material from close to the temporarily occupied places. Rooftoptiger's crew is a constantly changing group of artists, performers, poets, thinkers and ingenious craftsmen. They are nationally and internationally renowned for their own artistic practices. They are the initiators of Archipel.

Rooftoptiger is een kunstenaarscollectief dat participatieve en performatieve installaties bouwt in de openbare ruimte. De installaties zijn locatiespecifieke creaties. Door in te grijpen in een context proberen ze mensen te verleiden om actie te ondernemen als speelse en kritische ontwerpers van hun eigen buurt. De installaties worden gebouwd van gerecycled en lokaal materiaal uit de buurt van de tijdelijk bezette plekken. De crew van Rooftoptiger is een voortdurend wisselende groep kunstenaars, performers, dichters, denkers en ingenieuze ambachtslieden. Ze zijn nationaal en internationaal bekend om hun eigen artistieke praktijken. Zij zijn de initiatiefnemers van Archipel.
