Noch Vis Noch Vlees is het jaarlijkse buurtfestival van Archipel kunstenwerkplek.

Voor deze derde editie opent Archipel opnieuw met een artistieke live programmatie, gecureerd door de kunstenaars van de plek.

Dit jaar staat het festival in het teken van performance en muziek.

Van 10u tot middernacht ontvouwt het programma zich tussen buitendek, kade en Club & Expo Frigo.

Overdag voor families, met een makers & vlooienmarktje, singer-songwriters en workshops voor jong en oud, een circusact en de finissage van de expo Derde Grond.

’s Avonds verplaatst het programma zich naar de kade en Club Frigo,

met werk en sets van Bink, Delay Brothers, Jorgina, KOO, Mariona, Nathan Felix Rivot en Overmacht.

​Delay Brothers, rond de Borgerhoutse muzikant Johan Verhaegen (a.k.a. William Delay), mixt rock, jazz en pop tot poëtische en avontuurlijke soundscapes. De band speelt verfijnd als het mag, maar snijdt hard en rauw als het moet. Speciaal voor deze gelegenheid versterkt Vincent Brijs het broederschap!

Jorgina heeft een klassieke opleiding in piano en viool genoten en creëert eigen composities en geeft een nieuwe invulling aan het klassieke repertoire met behulp van piano, synthesizers, veldopnames en akoestische instrumenten. Haar werk beweegt zich tussen neoklassieke en experimentele muziek en verkent de emotionele diepgang en spanningen van de menselijke ervaring.

Gizem Karaosmanoğlu, alias KOO is een in Istanbul geboren, in Antwerpen gevestigde geluidskunstenaar en experimentele elektronische muzikante. Haar computergestuurde composities bieden een breed scala aan melodieën, ritmes, frequenties en klankkleuren. Ze bewerkt en manipuleert digitaal diverse geluiden en vocale samples en verwerkt deze tot patronen in haar creaties, in combinatie met pakkende, soms vreemde, donkere en sombere melodielijnen. Haar werken sluiten altijd aan bij bepaalde gevoelens en sensaties. Ze creëert en voert experimentele elektronische muziek uit onder de naam KOO.

KOO’s benadering van het creatieve proces is gebaseerd op experimenteren en verkennen. Haar live audiovisuele shows, die af en toe worden begeleid door verschillende beeldend kunstenaars, zijn gericht op het delen en blootleggen van haar esthetische perceptie en het plezier dat ze zowel muzikaal als visueel tot uiting wil brengen."

"Overmacht" verwijst naar een kracht die buiten onze controle ligt – een begrip dat perfect de essentie vat van het elektronische muziekduo María Pandiello en Jacco Gardner. Het staat voor de onvoorspelbare krachten die muzikale improvisatie vormgeven, waarbij klank zich ontvouwt als reactie op het moment.

De kern van Overmacht is een muzikale dialoog met het onverwachte, het toevallige en de kwetsbaarheid van het creatieproces. Het draait om aandachtig luisteren, klank vasthouden in de tijd en schoonheid vinden in imperfectie.

De gelaagde melodieën en verfijnde synthesizerlandschappen van Jacco Gardner vloeien samen met de urgente ritmes en samplingtechnieken van María Pandiello. Zo ontstaat een voortdurend veranderend klanklandschap waarin ritme en melodie elkaar steeds opnieuw uitdagen en aanvullen.

Mariona, in Spanje geboren en tegenwoordig in Antwerpen gevestigd, benadert dj'en vanuit een grote nieuwsgierigheid. Haar sound beweegt zich tussen groovy ritmes, gelaagde percussie, vocalgedreven tracks en invloeden uit vroege progressive en tech house. Zo creëert ze een warme, voortdurend evoluerende sfeer die speels en subtiel euforisch aanvoelt. Elke set is een sensuele, chaotische en bruisende muzikale reis.

Naast haar werk als dj is Mariona ook fotograaf en medeoprichter van 113 MAISON. Via fotografie en kostuumontwerp breidt ze haar creatieve praktijk verder uit.

Nathan Felix-Rivot is een Franse hedendaagse danser en performer die op 8-jarige leeftijd zijn artistieke loopbaan begon aan de circusschool van Toulouse. Na zijn afstuderen aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium in Antwerpen werkt hij sindsdien samen met choreografen en gezelschappen als Benjamin Abel Meirhaeghe, Radouan Mirziga, Rosas en Ictus. De mix van afkomst en sociale achtergronden waarin hij is opgegroeid, evenals zijn ervaringen in verschillende professionele domeinen, hebben een sterke invloed op zijn huidige werk, dat gekenmerkt wordt door een veelzijdigheid aan technieken, ideeën over vrijheid en het spelen met geluiden, ritme en stem.

Noch Vis Noch Vlees is the annual neighbourhood festival of Archipel Arts Workspace.

For this third edition, Archipel once again opens its doors with a live artistic programme curated by the artists who work at the space.

This year's festival focuses on performance and music.

From 10 AM until midnight, the programme unfolds across the outdoor deck, the quay, and Club & Expo Frigo.

During the day, families can enjoy a makers' & flea market, singer-songwriters, workshops for all ages, a circus performance, and the finissage of the exhibition Third Ground.

In the evening, the programme shifts to the quay and Club Frigo, featuring performances and sets by Bink, Delay Brothers, Jorgina, KOO, Mariona, Nathan Felix Rivot, and Overmacht.

Delay Brothers, centered around Borgerhout musician Johan Verhaegen (a.k.a. William Delay), blends rock, jazz, and pop into poetic, adventurous soundscapes. The band plays with refinement when possible, but hits hard and loud when needed. For this special occasion, Vincent Brijs joins the stage to complete the family!

Classically trained in piano and violin, Jorgina creates original compositions and reimagines classical repertoire through piano, synthesizers, field recordings, and acoustic instruments. Her work moves between neo-classical and experimental music, exploring the emotional depth and tensions of the human experience.

"Gizem Karaosmanoğlu is an İstanbul-born, Antwerp-based sound artist and experimental electronic musician. Overmacht ("Force Majeure") refers to a force beyond our control—a concept that perfectly captures the essence of the electronic music duo María Pandiello and Jacco Gardner. It represents the unpredictable forces that shape musical improvisation, allowing sound to unfold in response to the present moment.

At its core, Overmacht is a musical dialogue with the unexpected, the accidental, and the fragile nature of creation. It is about deep listening, holding sound in time, and discovering beauty in imperfection.

Jacco Gardner's layered melodies and finely crafted synthesizer soundscapes merge with María Pandiello's urgent rhythms and sampling techniques, creating an ever-shifting landscape where rhythm and melody continually challenge and complement one another.

Born in Spain and now based in Antwerp, Mariona approaches DJing with an open sense of curiosity. Her sound moves between groovy rhythms, layered percussion, vocal-driven tracks, and influences from early progressive and tech house. The result is a warm, constantly evolving atmosphere that feels playful, sensual, and subtly euphoric. Every set unfolds as a vibrant, chaotic, and immersive musical journey.

Alongside her work as a DJ, Mariona is also a photographer and co-founder of 113 MAISON. Through photography and costume design, she continues to expand her multidisciplinary creative practice.

Nathan Felix-Rivot is a French contemporary dancer & performer who started his artistic practice at the age of 8 at the Circus School of Toulouse. Gratuated from Royal Conservatorium in Antwerp, he works since then with choreographers and companies including Benjamin Abel Meirhaeghe, Radouan Mirziga, Rosas and Ictus.. The mix of origins and social backgrounds he grew up in as well as his experiences in different professional fields have a strong influence on his current works which involve a versatility of techniques, ideas of freedom, play with sounds, rhythm and voice.
